Designs

Working with the color and texture of beads is a wonderful contrast to working with words. My designs have appeared (or are forthcoming) in Beadwork, BeadStyle, Bead-a-Day Calendar 2008, Creative Jewelry, Jewelry Gifts for the Holidays, Step by Step Beads, and Stringing. I'm now the editor of Beading Daily and write about beading each week. Instructions for some of my projects are free online, so be sure to sign up if you're interested! Below are my most recent projects. Be sure to check out more designs that were published earlier.

About the Project: The Four Corners bracelet uses right-angle weave. The instructions also show an alternative version with a single-strand clasp.

About the Projects: In this issue I have a sweet necklace project ("Plum Happy") and a cool ceramic and silver bracelet (pictured).

About the Project: "Jane of the Jungle" was my challenge project for the October/November 2008 issue of Beadwork. The pattern for the peyote chart is available for free on Beading Daily.

About the Project: For this project, I was definitely thinking quick and easy, given how short time seems around the holidays. The picture in the magazine (complete with a ribbon for hanging the pendant) is much nice than this quick snapshot. This is my first time in Jewelry Gifts for the Holidays!

About the Projects: I have four projects in this annual magazine: Carnelian Twist, Gypsy Bangle, Waikiki Wishes (pictured), and Sweet Lavender. This is my first time in Creative Jewelry!

About the Project: Gone Fishin' with Miro was my challenge project for the August/September issue of Beadwork. Instructions are free on Beading Daily.
