This challenge features beautiful handmade porcelain pieces by Chinook Jewelry, along with pewter daisy spacers, Czech glass in a variety of shapes, snowflake-shaped sequins, a few button pearls, a star-shaped silver-plated spacer, some white organza ribbon, and a wavy, silver-plated ring. Ice was my inspiration for this necklace. I used
irregular quartz: some clear, some frosty. I chose the blue and green
beads to mimic the ice formations I see hiking in the winter. (Some
frozen waterfalls glow a bluish green . . . stunning.) I played around
with resin for the focal piece, suspending some of the snowflake
sequins. I really wanted to make resin beads with the sequins and wire
wrap them, but every time I tried to pop the bead out of the mold, it
would crumble.
I love the porcelain pendant. I wanted a very simple
design, so I suspended it from a vintage-looking chain and wove a dark
blue ribbon through the larger links. I love this necklace.

I kept my designs very simple to highlight the beautiful porcelain beads.
To make the ornament, I used the ribbon to wrap a large jump ring and tied a bow. I strung one of the larger pieces of Czech glass and two pewter daisy spacers on an eye pin to give the ornament some length. Then I attached the top of the eye pin to a large link of round chain. (I gave away my cool wavy silver-plated ring instead of saving it for the challenge. Oops!)
I used silver-plated wire to wrap some of the opaque white Chinese rounds to the ring. I also made dangles for the front of the ornament, but I removed them. The pendant is just too pretty to cover up!
To make the earrings, I created some glass dangles with ball-end head pins for the dangles since I think that makes them a little bit more decorative than the ordinary flat kind. I added sterling silver ear wires with little hearts on them.
