For the March Pretty Palettes challenge, I skipped spring entirely and went straight to summer.
My Beach Bracelet
My inspiration for this bracelet (beyond the green, blue, and brown colors this month) were the new sea life beads at Michaels. I used the silver-plated dolphin and fish beads, as I'd already used my turtles, sea horses, and shells for the Sea Blues Necklace. I knotted this two-strand bracelet on dark brown hemp cord, using as many different types of beads as I could: wood, ceramic, glass, coconut shell, gemstone, and metal. This bracelet makes me think of a walk on the beach where you collect random treasures such as shells, sea glass, or weathered wood.
Tip: If you decide to use thicker cord, you'll want to use only beads with larger holes such as the wood, ceramic, and metal tubes shown here. The holes on some of the glass beads and metal dolphins are quite small and will only work with beading wire or 1mm cord.
Beads You Need
You can find all the Bead Gallery beads for this bracelet at Michaels. Don't forget to buy hemp cord if you don't have any already!
