Have you seen this fun blog activity yet? It's been making the rounds of jewelry blogs lately. I signed up to participate on Linda Younkman's blog, Lindy's Designs.
The Pay It Forward Handmade Giveaway
The basic idea is that you leave a comment on this blog and I'll send you something handmade for free. The catch (and you knew there was one!) is that you will host the same giveaway on your blog. Don't think you have to be "crafty" to participate. Can you bake cookies? Design a website banner? Dream up an original recipe that uses five ingredients from the winner's refrigerator? It's entirely up to you what you want to offer on your blog. Be creative!
The Prizes
I've been thinking that this giveaway might be especially fun since the holiday season will be coming up. Maybe you don't need anything, but are you looking for a great handmade gift for someone else? Here's a chance to start your shopping early. The first three readers who sign up could win one of these prizes:
- a set of embossed note cards that reflect your interests or personality (or holiday or birthday cards to send to your friends)
- a hand stamped metal key chain with a funny or inspirational saying
- a pair of handmade earrings in your favorite colors
- a hand-decorated tin packed with coordinating beads and findings from my personal collection
- a mini book ornament that could be hand-stamped with a name, initials, or date
- something else that I haven't thought of yet!
The Giveaway
The rules state that the gift will be created and sent in the next 365
days, but honestly, I know you won't have to wait that long. I'll have these done and sent to you before Christmas.
The first three people to leave comments will receive a surprise gift from me. Yes, you can live anywhere in the world. I'll contact you to find out a little more about you and what kind of gift you'd love. If you don't include your email address, I'll go to the next person on the list. (If you type your email address into the "Email" field of the comment form, your email address will not be public. Only I will see it.)
Remember, by signing up for this giveaway, you MUST host your own giveaway on your own blog.
Ready, set, GO!
